Our Work

WAY Empowerment is a NGO with the main objective being charity that is based on the founder’s childhood experience of poverty. Our organization has the desire to build an all-inclusive better life for marginalized communities because every human being deserves to have basic needs for daily life met,  and to be free from poverty.
We are passionate about our work of empowering women and youth to enrich their lives in the communities they live in. We work in the marginalized communities in Kenya where we empower women through economic development projects. Sport is a powerful tool of development and therefore WAY utilizes  sport as empowering tool for the youth by educating them about life skills, importance of education and how to be supportive member of a society. We focus on building sustainable solutions through different projects such as farming, entrepreneurship, self-help groups, sports tournaments, health education, and much more. We are deeply rooted in the belief that education and humanity are the most useful tools for enhancing an individual’s capacity. Therefore we, as voluntary employees gladly work hard on projects that can make change in the communities.

WAY Empowerment believes that education and humanity are the most useful tools for enhancing individual’s capacity and the possibility to overcome poverty through self-reliance.

Our Mission

• To empower women with tools to work their way out of poverty, contribute to economic growth and strengthen their communities.
• To convert sports as development tool to empower youth with skills to work their out of poverty challenges such as early pregnancy and drugs, and to enable them to have a successful education and ultimately live a meaningful life.

Our Vision

We envision a world without poverty in which women and youth are empowered to live in a safe sustainable environment that include equal economic opportunities, equal rights to natural resources, education, and health care. We believe that every human possesses tools to provide a better life for themselves, families, and the society they live in.
